What a beautiful day in Florida! Sunny and 75 today with a light breeze. The day started of cool as we tee'ed off at the Villages Nancy Lopez Legacy course at 8 AM today. We played the Torri Pines nine first and finished on Erinn Glenn The fairways were in great shape, the rough is short (that good) and the greens are slow and soft. It's a fairly short course with water hazards on every hole, most of which I ventured near or in during the round. Drew was the man today, shooting a blistering 81 and leaving Connor and I behind in the dust. Connor had a decent game himself, shooting 95 while I struggled (at least compared to yesterday), finishing with a 101. Highlight of my day was 160 yard 7-iron shot on Erinn Glen hole 7 that I hit over a huge tree. The ball landed on the green, hit the pin and ended up two feet from the hole! ( A gimme for a par... Incredibly Connor sank a 10 foot put on the same green for a birdie!) After our 4 hour round, yes we were moving, we had lunch. Pop Pop and Blake went golfing today at a 9 hole course. Blake at 11 has trouble finishing all 18. Afterwards they sailed Allen's model boat on the pond. Saw Rumsfeld on Cspan this afternoon and he was pretty convincing. He is a master wordsmith when he deals with the press. What a great vacation so far!
